Travis eyes followed the wad up to the ceiling where several other spit wads clung. “Cool…” he said, briefly forgetting about the old woman pushing a grocery shopping cart in the down stairs bathroom.
Being a writer
All the time at work the same deal.
Make this boring thing look interesting.
Letters
I write myself letters, seal them, and then write the age I must be when I can open them again.
Man, the me of 82 had better have a sense of humour because that last letter was a little insulting.
Beliefs
If your parents are crazy and bad then you are crazy and bad.
Something I used to believe.
Mythical
I like vampires, I like giants, I like elves, I like unicorns, I like griffins, I like astronauts, I like walking trees, I like virgins, I like dragons, I like mermaids, I like jews, I like banana bread, I like centaurs, I like demons, I like God, I like butter, I like girls like you.
I like anything mythical, made up, imaginary and completely fantastical.
Part
Does it seem strange that a good word like encourage has rage as part of it?
Or do all good things have an evil part?
King
It’s hard to write a horror story with Trump being President. How do you scare someone now?
A Discovery
I watched my neighbor from the window, and while she was taking off her clothes, I was thinking about how beautiful she was.
I then discovered that she was not a woman at all.
old woman
I watched a thin, very old woman with jet black hair and a bright red hooded fleece pushing a rickety baby carriage with a pet rabbit in it. And just for a moment I had a sense of what it must feel like to be Tim Burton.
To have the untamable curiosity of a cat would offer a life so compelling. All of the humdrum, commonplace things turn entrancing and the daily grind is now intriguing.
Recycled for Life
In the alley behind the Nursing Home, they recycle the withered bodies of former residents in gray bins. Once a week, infants swaddled inside plastic totes appear on the front doorstep.
Role
I feel sometimes I’m playing the role of my younger self.
He’s funnier, better-looking and way more interesting.
Six months
I’ve always said “I love you” about six months before it being true.
I guess my true love won’t try to pull it from me.
MIRRORS
Don’
t get too close to mirrors they love smiling at you when you come close
Faking it
Despite having many jobs where people call me a writer I still don’t believe it.
(I’m just faking it everybody …)
Breaking up
Oh dear you seem to be breaking up.
Time to patch the clay girl.
True love
The dreams that seemed no real, the promise unforgotten, and the feeling unsurpassed. That is true love.
TV
Franco and Big Mountain Man, alcoholic German puppets, and their dog Schnapps sit around and discuss yet another 1940s cabinet maker.
After that, there’s some sport or something.
Not Guilty!
The court was filled up and the clerk read out the charge sheet. The defendant claimed an alibi for the night of the murder and the Judge returned verdict of not guilty.
Great Honour
The son of an old wretched woman got jailed yesterday for farting in the public where at the same time the tension danced spirally through my bowels and I felt the disgracing element moving towards my anus. I blew it and laughed, paid a bulky bribe and got honoured (OFR).
