After leaving my mother’s funeral and find out that know one has found her body, we come home and I tell my father that I’m hungry, then he tells me supper will be ready in 20 minutes, 20 minutes later I come into the kitchen, and sit down. My dad lifts the lid of the dish he has made, it looks like chicken legs, so I take a bite, and right after I do my fathers says, “Doesn’t you mother taste great?”

Punishment
I sweat and pant, and scream, but all that my father says to me is, “Honey you just 3 more years.” Little did I know that my punishment for not coming home on time would be to stay in closet for 3 years.

I recently found a mirror, in perfect condition at the junkyard where I work, my boss said I could take it home, but later I realize every time I go to look at my reflection it’s not me but a little girl in a white dress. Murder and Consequence
A small smile played on his lips as he thought back to the moment he had taken her life and how it filled him with utter satisfaction to press his thumbs deep into her throat as she tried to cry out and how with each breath wasted on cries for help he would press his fingers tighter in a cold calculating squeeze until finally her body went lifeless filling him with the power of her death. His smile faded as he snapped out of his memories upon hearing the metal bars of his cage slide shut confining him for the rest of his natural life or until they decided if he was worthy of the needle.
Redemption
As she saw her love make his dramatic exit, she quickly realised what she had done wrong-she had never loved him for his caring self, his reassuring smile, his warm touch-she only cared about his eyes, his white teeth, and smooth hands.
She quickly went up to him, but it was too late for his eyes were now a dull brown, his teeth a cringing yellow, and his hands scarred and reddened by catharsis.
The Power of Words
It’s utterly amazing how powerful just a few words can be; how they can stir crowds, wound or heal wounds, bring people to action, bring people to their knees, keep someone awake at night or allow someone to sleep, change people’s lives, and cause people to literally change the course of their own lives.
By speaking only a few words: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal” – “…that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom , and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” – “…the only thing we have to fear is fear itself” – “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” – “I have a dream!” – “Yes, we can!” – leaders have changed nations; however, the most powerful phrase in the world – not only in the English language, but in every languge, is still, and always will be – “I love you” – because those three words can change a soul.
